Pricing includes fabrication, chassis mounting, paint (2 coats PU), basic accessories (tail lamp, mud flap, reflective tape, side guards per CMVR), and RTO body-builder certificate. Excludes: chassis cost, hydraulic cylinder for tipper, refrigeration unit for reefer, PESO certification for hazardous tanker, GST.
Tipper Detail: MS vs Hardox
Tipper body material is the single biggest cost-and-life decision. Hardox 450/500 weighs less, lasts longer, costs more. Pick wrong and you either overspend or replace the body inside 2 years.

FSSAI Cold Chain Norms apply to food cargo; Good Distribution Practice (GDP) applies to pharma. We coordinate body construction with validated refrigeration units (Carrier / Thermo King / Subros) and data-logger fitment so your reefer passes audit and insurance scrutiny.

RTO Body-Builder Certificate & CMVR Compliance
Body building in India must comply with Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR) and AIS standards. Without a recognised body-builder certificate, your fitness pass and insurance both fail.
Body construction code. Defines structural strength, weight limits, dimensions, lighting, mud flaps, reflective tape, side and rear under-run protection.
Each builder has a recognised code stamped on the body and listed in the registration. RTO matches this with the body-builder certificate at fitness time.
Mandatory protection bars to prevent cars / two-wheelers riding under the truck. Specific dimensions per CMVR. Refusal to fit = automatic fitness fail.
High-intensity prismatic reflective tape on rear (red), sides (yellow / white) and front (white). Specific coverage % requirements.
Mandatory on most commercial vehicles per CMVR Rule 118. Capped at 80 km/h (60 km/h for hazardous goods). We coordinate fitment and certification.
Mandatory GPS-based VLT + panic button on commercial passenger and certain goods vehicles. We coordinate AIS-140 device fitment.

Body Repair & Refurb Scope
For body damage, rust, hydraulic failure or fleet refurb. Repair before fitness due-date is cheaper than re-registering with a new body.

Build Process: Chassis to Delivery
7 stages. Typical lead time 12-25 working days for standard bodies, 25-45 days for tankers and reefers.

Design + Drawing Approval
CAD drawings, material BOM, fastener spec. You approve, we proceed.
Material Procurement
IS 2062 / Hardox / PUF / SS sourced from approved mills with MTC.
Fabrication + Welding
Cut, form, weld in our RIICO Bhiwadi workshop. NDT spot-checks on critical welds.
Mounting + Hydraulics
Body mounted to chassis. Hydraulic + electrical + accessory integration.
Paint + Compliance Fitment
2-coat PU paint, reflective tape, side / rear under-run, mud flaps, lights.
Test + Body-Builder Certificate
Load test where applicable, photographs, certificate handover. RTO fitness coordination.
