Canopy Grade Selection (Pick the Right dB)
CPCB caps diesel DG noise at 75 dB(A) at 1 metre from the enclosure. State PCB ambient limits go further at the property boundary. The right grade depends on where the DG sits and who lives / works nearby.

Sound levels measured 1 m from the enclosure with DG at full load. Achieved level depends on engine condition, site reflective surfaces and ambient conditions. Third-party sound-level testing available.

Pricing includes: fabrication, internal acoustic lining, ventilation louvers, doors with cam-lock latches, AVMs, internal lighting and electrical outlets, silencer of relevant grade, final paint and on-site fitment within 50 km of Bhiwadi. Excludes: civil base / foundation, fuel tank if separate, controller relocation, GST.
Container Variants & ISO-Spec Builds
For 100+ kVA DGs at remote sites, multi-DG setups, rental fleets and mobility-critical applications. Containers travel like cargo and deploy in hours.
Standard ISO 20 ft footprint. Suits 125-500 kVA DG with internal day tank, control panel and lighting. Crane lifting + forklift pockets.
Indicative: ₹3.5-7 L for the container build (excluding DG).
For 625-1500 kVA DGs that won't fit in a 20 ft. Extra room for radiator, exhaust path, fuel and workspace.
Indicative: ₹6-12 L for the container build.
Two parallel DGs in one container. Internal partition, dual exhaust, common controls for synchronisation. Used for rental and standby N+1.
Indicative: ₹8-14 L for the container build.
Skid-mounted DG with canopy on a multi-axle trailer for fully mobile rental fleet use. Quick site deployment.
Indicative: ₹6-15 L for canopy + skid + trailer mounting (excluding DG and trailer chassis).
Engineered for 55-58 dB target. Triple-skin walls, duct silencers on intake and exhaust, isolated AVM mounts.
Indicative: ₹12-25 L+ depending on DG size.
Integrated fuel storage within bunded compartment for 24-72 hr unattended runs. Fire detection + alarms wired in.
Indicative: Add ₹2-5 L over standard container for fuel + bund.
Construction Detail & Compliance
What we engineer in, why each matters.
1.6-2 mm CRCA outer sheet, 0.8-1.2 mm perforated inner liner. Internal frame from MS angle / channel sized for crane lift and wind load.
High-density mineral wool 48-96 kg/m³, thickness 50-120 mm depending on dB target. Tiger cloth membrane to retain wool. Mass-loaded barrier for super-silent.
Multi-leaf access doors at engine + alternator + control panel. Heavy-duty hinges, EPDM acoustic gaskets, lockable cam latches.
Inlet + outlet louvers sized for engine CFM × 1.5 safety factor. Bird mesh + drainage. Forced exhaust fan added where natural draft is insufficient.
AVM (anti-vibration mounts) sized for genset wet weight. Reduces sound transmission and protects civil base.
Powder-coat (workshop, 7-10 yr life) preferred for industrial / outdoor. Site-applied 2-coat PU enamel for tight access sites. Custom RAL colour available.
IP54 / IP55 LED interior lights, 5A/15A maintenance sockets, emergency stop pull-handle at door, earthing point.
75 dB(A) @ 1 m default (CPCB). State PCB may demand quieter at the property boundary (residential 55 dB day / 45 night). We size to the stricter requirement.
Optional clean-agent (FM-200 / Novec 1230) or CO₂ flooding system with detection. Required for data centres and most insurance-grade installations.
Build Process: Genset to Site-Ready
7 steps. Typical lead time 15-25 working days for canopies, 25-45 days for ISO containers.
Spec & Site Survey
DG specs, dB target, site dimensions, ambient. Indicative quote in 24-48 hrs.
Design Lock
CAD drawing, BOM, fasteners, finish. You approve, we proceed.
Material Procurement
CRCA, mineral wool, AVM, silencer, paints procured with MTC.
Fabrication
Frame welding, sheet forming, internal lining at RIICO workshop.
DG Fit-Up & Paint
Mount DG into canopy / container, wire panel, fit silencer, paint.
Test & Sound Reading
Full-load run for 4 hrs. Sound-level reading. Photographic record.
Delivery & Commissioning
Transport to site, crane-down, base alignment, electrical termination, handover.
Handover Pack
Drawings, MTC, sound reading sheet, warranty card, AMC offer.
